Hey, it's Kelly
You'll be hearing from me (threat)
It took me long enough to revive my Substack-turned-email newsletter. But here we are! Even now, I have a certain bashfulness in addressing you, someone who volunteered to hear from me via email.
Here’s what I haven’t written about in the last 10 months:
Training as an off-road guide and instructor.
Wheeling in Moab, Utah and seeing snow in Joshua Tree for the first time.
Attending and working my first King of the Hammers in racing ops/special projects/general chaos.
Consistently making videos on Instagram, including 1 year of Feral Sunday.
Buying a 1987 Suzuki Samurai off the side of the road and going “viral” for it.
Passing my Wilderness First Responder certification.
Settling into desert life and feeling more like myself than I ever have.
Turning 29 and contemplating the imminent end of my 20s.
Yes, of course, I’m experiencing a touch of imposter syndrome. And I’m a bit tired, considering all of this is in addition to my full-time job. But what else is a girl boss to do. Certainly not rest. Not owning a television frees up more time than you’d think.
No matter my energy levels or desire to drive back and forth to AutoZone multiple times in one evening, there is much life to live. And while I haven’t written about most of this year’s happenings, there is much reflection to do.
I pledge to keep it to one email per week, to spare the us all from too much information. Until then, you can watch me do car things on Instagram.

You've accomplished so much and still at it! You will love your 30's!
Your future is as bright as your smile!
